X-Lite telephony software
X-Lite, an item of telephony software developed by Xten Networks Inc., can also be used with the NeoPhone service. X-lite can also be used on the Mac OS X and Linux operating systems. The program only has a user platform in English.

X-Lite: Setting Following installation, select [Default] from the menu under System Settings / SIP Proxy. Set the parameters as shown on the sample screen.

Display Name: username
Username: 11-digit NeoPhone telephone number (the one you received by email after registration, e.g. 06213819999)
Authorization User: NeoPhone telephone number@sip.neophonex.hu (e.g. 06213819999@sip.neophonex.hu)
Password: password (the one you entered at registration)
Domain/Realm: sip.neophonex.hu
SIP Proxy: sip.neophonex.hu
Out Bound Proxy: sip.neophonex.hu
Leave all other parameters as they are.
X-Lite: Usage

Virtual phone sets have the traditional functions available with real sets – and a few more practical ones. On X-Lite you will find the usual "_" and "x" (tray and close) Windows buttons. For its operation, the words and expressions used in Windows programs are applied.
Initiation of Calls, Dialling, Receiving of Incoming Calls
1. You can enter numbers using the mouse (clicking on the buttons) or with the help of the computer’s keyboard. To modify, use the "CLEAR" or (<--) Backspace button. Important: do NOT use hyphens or any other characters to separate digits!
2. To call the number entered, click on the green telephone icon ("híváskezdeményező") or just hit "ENTER".
3. To terminate the call, click on the red telephone icon or, again, just hit "ENTER".
(Note: you can also select the number you want to call from the phonebook – see below!)
If you are called at your NeoPhone number (your phone is ringing), click on the green telephone icon and click on the red icon when you finish the call.
Settings, main extra services
You can modify the settings entered at registration and can perform new settings using the “Menu” icon on the user platform. (You can move between the menu and submenu items using the mouse or with the arrows on the left of the menu and can select the desired item with the mouse or by clicking on “SELECT”.) The most important ones are the following:
- Recent calls: here you can check the data of outgoing and incoming calls and can also redial recently used numbers
- Phonebook (this can be displayed using a direct icon): if you click on New Entry (“Új bejegyzés”) here, you can record the data of a new partner. You can call anyone who is in your phonebook at any time, by clicking on the green telephone icon of X-Lite.

- quick dial buttons
- mute
- microphone and loudspeaker volume controls – here, right click and fine-tune sound quality parameters using the Audio Tuning wizard.
*This version of X-Lite does not support the services displayed in grey (3 lines, conference calls, call transferring)
